In vitrocultureofplantsoffershighcapacityformultiplication,maintenanceandmanipulationofmoderncultivars.FivecommercialcutrosecultivarsinIran(CherryBrandy,CoolWater,FullHouse,MaroussiaandSuperGreen)wereevaluatedinthisstudy.Nodalstemsegments(2cm)weresurfacesterilizedwithcommercialbleach(10-50%)for20minand70%ethanol(v/v)for2-5minandculturedonMSmedium.Variousconcentrationsof6-benzyladenine(BA)(0-0.55-1.11-2.22µM)andnaphthaleneaceticacid(NAA)(0-0.054-0.27-0.54µM)wereusedforshootproliferationofnewestablishments.Twotypesofauxin,NAA(5.4µM)andIBA(9.9µM)weretestedforrootinduction.Higherpercentageofasepticshootswasobtainedby50%commercialbleachand5minuteof70%ethanolpretreatment.Significantdifferencewasobservedbetweenshootproliferationrates(0.0-82%)ofcultivarsandallcultivarshadsatisfactorymultiplicationson2.22µMBAand0.27µMNAAcombinations.Therateofproducedroot(0-71.4%)differedbetweencultivars.
