Walnuts is infected by a wide range of fungal pathogens, of which the most important are Cytospora chrysosperma and Neoscytalidium dimidiatum, that are causes of diback and canker of walnuts, these fungi cause a significant decrease in walnut production, and their chemical control is also difficult The reason of the penetration in wood textures . this research was conducted with the aim of controlling these pathogens using Aspergillus and Penicillium endophytic isolates. In this research, 43 endophytic isolates belonging to P. expansum and P. crustosum species and A. fumigatus, A. niger, A. tubingensis and A. terreus species were obtained from the pathology laboratory of Bouali Sinai University. The test to prove the biocontrol ability of the isolates was carried out in the form of a completely randomized design in laboratory conditions, that in the cross-culture test, the isolate of Penicillium crustosum N473-1 had the highest inhibition percentage on C. chrysosperma and the isolates of Aspergillus fumigatus N502 and Aspergillus tubingensis N323- 2 had highest effect on N. dimidiatum. Also, the results obtained from the effect of filtered liquid secretions of endophytic isolates showed that A. tubingensis N323-2 isolate had the most effect on inhibiting the growth of pathogens. Secondary metabolites were investigated in the extracts of isolates with high biocontrol potential. Alkaloid, flavonoid, terpenoid were observed in the extract of most isolates. The presence of more secondary metabolites in the ethyl acetate extract of N323-2 and N129 isolates can cause the high inhibitory effect of these two species on the pathogenic isolates of C. chrysosperma and N. dimidiatum. Therefore, these isolates can be used as superior isolates to control canker and dieback diseases.
