Today, according to the widespread of antibiotic resistance, plants have attracted considerable interest to combat bacterial infections. One of the most important limitations of different studies on antibacterial effects of plant extracts is that the exact phytochemical compounds responsible for antibacterial effect are unknown. The aim of current study was to pursue bioinformatics analysis of effects of phytochemical compounds of Rosmarinus officinalis L., Zataria multiflora Boiss L. and Mentha piperita L. (genera of Lamiaceae family) on Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm formation to determine the exact compound(s) responsible for inhibition of bacterial biofilm formation. PyRx software 0.8 was used to perform docking process. Results of this study showed that phytochemical compounds of selected plants bind to the essential protein of LasR and inhibit it. Based on results of molecular docking, Borneol, Linalool, and Dihydrocarvone compounds reported for Rosmarinus officinalis L., Zataria multiflora Boiss L., Mentha piperita L., respectively showed high affinity to LasR protein and they can be considered as anti-Pseudomonal candidates.
